Fishing Pictures

In late July of 1998, I had the awesome opportunity to go fishing at Salmon King Lodge,  Rivers Inlet.

Rivers Inlet is located on the West Coast of British Columbia - latitudinally just north of Vancouver Island.

The largest salmon caught in 1998 was 62 pounds.

In the picture on the right I'm holding an 11 pound chum (salmon).  At my feet are 3 pink (salmon), one ling cod, and in front of those are 4 rock fish and a yellow eye which is also called a red snapper (seen in the larger picture).

These fish aren't near as big as can be caught in this part of the world, but variety is the spice of life (a good excuse when you aren't catching big ones!).

My first Halibut!

It's was only 23 pounds but the monkey's off my back now!

I call this one Herring Nightmare.

It's my picture of someone else's 52 pound Chinook (salmon).
